Physical therapy and Back School

  • The spine is one of the most vital parts of the human body, supporting the torso and allowing all possible movements. Unfortunately, our sedentary lifestyle leads to the adoption of a dysfunctional posture that limits the potential movements of the spine. When it is impaired and functions poorly, the consequences can be painful and even immobilizing.
  • If we sit incorrectly, sit in a bad posture or move with a bent back, lift weights, stand, sleep or rest, the spine is the part of the body most affected.
  • How to do all these activities correctly? You can find out by attending back physical therapy classes. Special spinal physical therapy consists of stretching, relaxing and toning exercises. Stretching not only relaxes the muscles of the spine but also the intervertebral discs, which receive a greater supply of oxygen, and also relaxes the spine. By toning the muscles that hold the spine in place, we achieve a correct posture and restore normal balance. This is of particular importance, even if it is only a problem of poor posture and no spinal deviations have occurred. Special physical therapy thus helps to maintain the integrity of the spine, but also to prevent deficiencies. Here you can learn all about the spine, its movements, discuss with specialists about the symptoms that occur and how to treat them. The programme is run by specialists in the field.

At the Rheum-Care Foundation you can do preventive physical therapy, receive information, expert guidance and take part in organised activities.
